If eyes don't get into u... U get into the eyes to get them.

"The most important thing about goals is having one." ~ Geoffry F. Abert
I recommend some exercises for improving eye contact along with medicines...
Goal directed
1. Sitting in front of mirror or standing infront of mirror and trying to catch eyes...
2. Sitting across table and having a table lamp with rest of the room dark and the only thing the child should see easily is eyes
3. Keeping the child in a swing, pull the swing close to Ur face.... have eye contact and leave... Again when the swing comes to u... U are connecting in eyes.

U may use special glares that take child's attention, u may keep images of object that fascinate the child .. over a mask and play hide and seek with it .. or a peek a boo at later development.
U may carry a small torch and shine it on ur face so that kid will get face recognition.

Faster results than the techniques your reading will implement. This is visual intervention therapy.
Most therapist go for next goal that is visuospacial orientation earlier.. and first goal gets bypassed and so response is confusing .
Have goals.. have steps....every 15 days. #DrSK
What exactly are we doing in this.. is giving a localised sense to specific sensory nerves in optic nerve that goes from Brain... Consistency.. to create image of face and eyes in occipital cortex. Child may not recognise it as human or face at this stage but... The child will have repeated bombardment of same to make it familiar so that... Child starts knowing a new body part face or eye.. and starts giving face regard.
Whatever u wish to try ... Anything more than this... Remember..results should be seen in 3 wks.
